Montgomery Mall Bethesda
The Montgomery Mall, Bethesda, also known as Westfield Montgomery, is owned by the Westfield Group. Pending its transformation approved in 2007 by the Montgomery County Planning Board, the addition of 60,000 square feet of retail space, this mall has 190 stores on two stories offering everything from clothes to jewelry, from electronics and music to toys, books, and cards.
The entertainment section of this mall consists of a small cinema, the P&G Cinema, located inside the shopping center. There is also a huge food court on the second floor, where any kind of food can be found. The shopping hours are 10 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Monday to Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday, when people can see all the shops and the anchor stores, Macy's, Nordstroms, Macy's Home Store and Sears. If dinning is your goal, simply visit one of the 3 full-service restaurants.
The concierge services are much the same as in any Westfield mall: wheelchairs for people with disabilities, services for people with small children, special parking for expectant mothers, package carry-out, and soft seating throughout the mall, a place designed for both families and the solitary shopper. Many activities can be undertaken outside the mall, as Bethesda has many festivals, such as Taste of Bethesda 2007 or Bethesda Library Festival. The landmark theatre and art galleries are also worth visiting.
